What Is The Cause Of An Ear Ache?

Hi doctor. So the right side of my jaw hurt since about Tuesday of last week. My ony issue was u jaw. I now have bronchitis and when I visited my doctor at said I have an ear infection also in my left ear. So that connected with the jaw pain, but my ear never bothered me. She prescribed me antibiotics for it, and now my jaw doesn't hurt and m ear is hurting so badly. Why is that?

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of ear ache which can occur due to accumulation of ear wax, ear fluid and to more serious acoustic neuroma like condition. Need not to worry. Visit ENT specialist once. Doctor may prescribe drug like eperisone , muscle relaxant and sedatives. Maintain hygiene and avoid pricking it with sharp object. Doctor may order certain test like audiometry , CT scan ,MRI , low and high pitched ringing to rule out conditions like hearing loss , exposure to loud noises , earwax buildup , middle ear infection. Doctor may treat it according to the diagnosis , may prescribe medicine antibiotics.

Hope your concern has been resolved.
