What Is The Cause Of Fast Heart Rate And Weakness In Arm And Could It Be Due To Anxiety?
Hello, I am a 15 year old who took 40mg of Vyvanse (i dont have ADD, it was a friend s) yesterday, and about 21 hours after i took it (long after the effects wore off) i experienced a weird shaking sensation in my chest for about a minute and weak feeling in my left arm while playing volleyball. The weakness in my arm is still present but has gone down significantly and my heart rate seems faster than usual. I m 5 9 and 140 lbs and have never had any heart problems before, so could this just be anxiety?
Your symptoms could be related to Vyvanse adverse effects, coupled with anxiety. For this reason, I recommend taking plenty of water in order to help push Vyvanse away from your body sooner.
If these symptoms persist, I would recommend going to the ER for a physical exam, and performing some tests: a resting ECG and cardiac enzymes, blood electrolytes, etc
Hope you will find this answer helpful. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Ilir Sharka
