What Is The Cause Of Nausea And Giddiness After Taking The Diabetes Medicine?
Hiii this neelam anand...my feet are burning terribly & just been detected with diabetes: fasting 101.7...After food 165.6
My dr has prescribed me
1. tab Ismet 500.....101
2.cap Duzela 20......001
3.Tab Mitovit..... 100
But from the time I have started taking these medicines. .I am feeling nausea all the time and giddiness to..and something in stomach no pain in stomach.. I am not able to do any work at home nor go out..it's just 2 days..I have had the medicines. ..Please advice

Hello,
Your fasting sugar levels are normal.
Post prandial sugar levels are just 165,which is not diabetes but a pre diabetes stage called as impaired glucose tolerance.
In my opinion,there is no need of any medicine because simple dietary controls and regular aetobic exercises for 45 minutes a day should make you all right..
Your symptoms of nausea and uneasiness in stomach is due to the use of antidiabetic medication ( ISTAMET ) .
Metformin present in ISTAMET cause these symptoms.
