What Is The Cause Of Nausea, abdominal Pain And Back Pain After Being Treated For UTI?

Hi, I suffer from a feeling of nausea all the time. I have had two U.T.I in the past six weeks. The last time I had one I had lower abdominal pain in my right side and my tummy was very bloated. I had bleeding and discharge. My G.P put me on two antibiotics for 7 days, which seemed to stop the discharge and bloating, but they made me very ill. I still feel nausea and some times I get a dragging pain in my right side low down. I also suffer with lower back pain. I am worried as I don t feel well. Can you explain my condition. I think I have something wrong with my womb or orvarie s. Bernie

Hello
First we will discuss about nausea and feeling of sickness .
As you mentioned in your query that you took two type of antibiotics .
Usually antibiotics develop hyperacidity and gastritis in common , so nausea may be due to these two antibiotics .
In such type of condition I usually recommend proton pump inhibitors like pantoprazole-d tablet twice in day .
I also prescribe antacid syrup ( better if it contains oxetacaine i.e. local anesthetic) .
Now still pain on the right side ( lower part ), also pain in back.
This type of symptoms may be due to salpingitis ( inflammation of salpinx or fallorian tube or in ovary on the right side ) . Diagnosis can be confirmed by ultrasound of these organs .
Second reason of such pain may be urinary tract infection . Get in blood for C B C , Serum creatinine level and urine culture and sensitivity.
The next reason of this pain may be uterus fibroid or cervix inflammation . Get in ultrasound of uterus .
As you mentioned that there is bleeding and urinary tract infection with pain in the right side , so all these symptoms are co-related .
In my opinion consult a gynecologist and get his opinion.
I find this answer helpful
