My husband has glioblastoma multiforme & is currently having his second round of radiotherapy for a second tumour in the corpus callosum. He is 6 months post surgery & is on 6mgm Dexamethasone.a day. He is getting progressively weaker & losing muscle bulk throughout his body despite walking, swimming & weights. Is this weakness due to disease progression, dexamethasone or,radiation ?He is 65.
Hello. I have been through your question and understand your concern.
Unfortunately all of the three can cause weakness. Though, I think Dexamethasone is the one more responsible. I do not recommend to discontinue, especially now that he is having radiation therapy.
Hope this helps with your question, please feel free for further questions.
