What Is The Cure For Pain In My Lower Abdomen While Peeing?
I'm pregnant and about a month along. Every time I go pee I get a sharp pain in my lower abdomen and it feels like my muscles are contracting at the end of every pee and about 2-4 minutes afterward. It hurts to stand up, when I try to stand up it makes it feel worse.
I understand your problem. It seems that you may be having a urine infection or preterm pains. Urinary infection may also cause preterm pains. So please get yourself evaluated for preterm pains and a urine examination done and take antibiotics if needed according to the examination report as soon as possible. Stones of the urinary tract may also cause similar symptoms and are easily detected by sonography. So if symptoms recur after therapy you may need an ultrasound to look for stones. Meanwhile, drink plenty of water to flush the bacteria out of the urine.
Do not worry as these are common problems during pregnancy.
Take care. Dr Madhuri Bagde Consultant Ob Gynec
