Hi,I am Dr. Subhankar Chakraborty (Gastroenterologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have Crohn's Disease and have had constant diarrhea and rumbling in my left upper quadrant since 9/7/13. At first it seemed like a flare but them my appetite returned and I gained back 3 pounds, not loosing anymore weight but the diarrhea won't stop.
HI Well come to HCM I really appreciate your concern, Crohn's disease may cause the diarrhea but it is not the always case, because it could be infection along with this and it is the common condition seen so I would suggest to treat this condition with Tab Metronidazole 400 mg twice in day for five days, it is more better to get done the stool culture sensitivity test it is just to rule out the infection and better management hope this information helps.
