What Is The Cure For Sore Throat, Stye Inside Eyelid And Puffy And Tender Face?
Hiya, I have very sore throat - right hand side, as well a stye inside bottom eyelid - right hand side also; and the right side of my face is quite puffy and tender, should I see a doctor? Have been treating stye with warm compress the last couple of days but is getting worse
Hi, Swelling and tenderness on the same side as the stye can be there as the area surrounding can become inflamed and tender. Sore throat can accompany a stye and vice-versa as head and neck region can have simultaneous infection at multiple places. Warm compresses should help but if the things are not improving, please see an GP and start with an antibiotic eye drop and antibiotic eye ointment. Along with that hexidine gargles should also help in throat. In case the things do not improve, please see a specialist and may need to start oral antibiotics. Regards
