Mr Bhat,

Hi. You can take the food that has no content of fats or minimum fat ( negligible).

However Punarnava (Boerhavia diffusa) - spreading hongweed, Mandoor (Calcined iron formulation in Ayurveda) and Punarnavashtak Kwath ( Liquid decoction of eight herbs described in classical Ayurveda) are the medicines of choice among others to treat this condition.

Ayurveda classics and modern researchers have found these excellent in diseases of liver.

Pl consult any Ayurveda doctor or consult me by direct question for further guidance. This is safe, non interacting Ayurveda research product which can be taken parallel to your current regime. Do's and dont's and food protocol is important while taking Ayurveda.

Hope for the best.
