Hi, the pathological reports of my wife, who is in her 8th month of pregnancy, are as under:

Blood glucose      87 mg                    70-110

LFT

Bilirubin total      0.60mg                    0.3-1.4

S.G.P.T.(ALT)      219                    5-40

Hello and welcome to HCM,
raised level of SGPT suggests injury to liver cells or hepatocytes.
Injury to hepatocytes can occur due to infection mainly with alcoholic liver disease, viruses, drugs, toxins etc.
Thus, elevated levels of SGPT suggests some liver disease in mother.
Some of the infections can be transmitted to the baby.
Thus, it is important to know the cause of elevated SGPT and thus treat the condition.
The level of alkaline phosphatase is also slightly elevated which is due to alcohol liver disease or disordrs of biliary tract.

Thanks and take care
