I really appreciate your concern for raised GGT.
An elevation of gamma-glutamyltransferase - an index of liver disease, it is elevated in liver disease alcoholic
cirrhosis or individuals who are heavy drinkers.
It is also raised in patients with
breast cancer due to release of the membrane bound constituents from different tissues even in carcinoma.
Tamoxifen is used to prevention of breast cancer, as it is known to suppress the growth of breast tissue which are hormone (
estrogen) dependent.
It is known to cause fibroids in the uterus,
thrombus formation in the veins, hot flushes, etc.
As such there is no relation between raised GGT and the use of Tamoxifen.
You are advised to consult your doctor for the evaluation of fatigue and its management.
