What Is The Hard, Painless Bump On My Hard Palate?
I noticed about three weeks ago a hard, painless bump on my hard palate. It is to the right of the midline. It is about the size of a bb. It seems to have gotten a little smaller but still there. I have just finished a 14 day course of double antibiotics for h pylori. I was hoping the meds would have cleared this up bit it's still there. I am very frightened over this and I'm losing sleep because of the worry. It is the same color as the flesh in my mouth. My husband can't ser it at all with a very bright flashlight. I remember a couple weeks before I noticed it that I jabbed that area of my mouth while brushing my teeth. The toothbrush slipped and scraped across that area. Could that have caused this? I'm very scared. :(
thanks for your query, i have gone through your query, the swelling over the hard palate could be because of the infection of the tooth or gum leading to abscess formation or cyst..or it can be a bony outgrowth like tori or exostosis or any benign tumor of salivary gland...consult your oral physician to rule out all these things and get radiographic investigation done.. i hope my answer will help you..take care..
