What Is The Huge Lump On My Shoulder?

I have a lump to the back of my L shoulder about the size of a golf ball. I have had this for about 1 month and have been off work due to the pain. I am going for physio and the Ultrasound and x-rays are normal. I can see and feel this lump and so can my doctor. He is treating it for bursitis but could this be a tumour of some kind? Would I need further testing to determine this by MRI or bone scan?

Thanks for the query to HCM. I studied your problem in depth and I understood your concerns.
Cause and plan of Treatment-
In my opinion on the given data,you seem to have Sebaceous Cyst/but could be bursitis -as it is there for 1 month.
USG /CAT/MRI scan would fix its diagnosis.Don't guess more. I would advise ER Surgeon Consultation.Hope this would resolve your issues.Act fast.
So keep cool and Consult your ER Surgeon, if need be , who would treat it accordingly.
So don't build up wrong concepts and create more psychic complications in you which would increase risks and costs to you, but just ask a query to HCM and be comfortable to resolve your health issues.
