What Is The Ideal Weight And Measurements For Teens?

So I m 16 and 110 lbs at 5 4 my measurments are 32-23.5-32 and my thighs do not touch at a good 18 . Here s the thing though I still get called chubby or told that I have big hips. I feel as though I ll be thin only if I m 20something lbs underweight! So coming from my peers and others with more knowledge I d like to know what you consider healthy for my age and height? I m also toned if that helps and also I ve had eating disorder in the past...still struggling with bulimia but now with the insults I m considering starvation again...I just want some insight on this...thanks.

Hi there,

Good question. i don't think there is any definite answer for your question. Hope there was something ideal for everyone at every age. Each person is built different and hence there is always a normal range rather than one perfect or an ideal value. So, going by the measurements, i feel your Body Mass Index (BMI) is about 21.5 which is absolutely in the normal range. (Normal BMI - 18.5 to 25.0). So, i feel if you are able to maintain in that range you should not be worrying. Eat healthy diet and exercise daily and stay fit. There is nothing more to be concerned about yourself.So, hope you have got some insight with this answer of mine.

Eat healthy and exercise regularly and you ll have fitness with you. That's the key
