What Is The Lethal Dosage Of Zaditor?

HI, I had an episode of red eye blurriness lasting about 5 hours after dropping about 3 drops of Ketoprofen/ Zaditor into my eye, more than intended. I am very sensitive to mydriatics when I HAVE TO HAVE MYE EYES DILATED. COULD THIS MEDICINE ACCIDENTALLY DILATE AN EYE WHEN TOO MUCH IS USED UNINTENTIALL?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello and welcome to 'Ask a Doctor' service.

I have reviewed your query and I understand your concern. An overdose of ketotifen ophthalmic is not expected to produce life-threatening symptoms and i don't think it will dilate your eyes as it does not have mydriatic action. It is usually given for eye allergies. Symptoms should subside within few hours however if they persist, ophthalmic consultation is recommended.

Hope this was helpful and do let me know if you have any further questions.

Regards,
Dr. Akash Kumar
