Hello Thanks for writing to us According to MRI report you have degenerative disc disease of cervical spine. Degenerative changes occurs in spine due to aging and development of weakness in annulus fibrosis which allows herniation of disc. 1.At C3-4 and C5-6 level,there is diffuse posterior disc bulge with the marginal osteophytes and it is indenting the thecal sac,causing minimal canal stenosis. There is early degeneration is noted in disc aslo. 2.There is loss of cervical lordosis due to the muscular spasm. Treatment for degenerative cervical disease includes physiotherapy or surgery. Effectiveness of both modalities are same.So,physiotherpay should be tried first. It causes strengthening of Para spinal muscles and it prevents further changes. Surgery should be the last option.
