Hello sir, This is pruthvi, i had a problem in passage of urinary function. After scanning i got report in which mentioned that urinary bladder: minimally distended and shows thickened and irregular wall with multiple trabeculations. no caluculus or growth. prostate is enlarged with a volume of 45 cc with hypertrophy of median lobe indenting bladder base. can you give more information on this
Hello and welcome to HCM, The interpretation of the scan report is as follows: The bladder is within normal limits. There is no evidence of any growth or calculi in the bladder lumen. The prostate at the base of the urinary bladder shows enlargement of the prostate. The medial lobe of the prostate is enlarged. The enlarged lobe of the prostate is obstructing the bladder outflow. This can manifest as urinary frequency, urinary urgency, residual urine, etc. You need to consult your surgeon and get few more investigations- serum PSA levels and prostatic biopsy to know the cause of prostatic enlargement.
Thanks and take care Dr Shailja P Wahal
