What Is The Medication For Stabbing Headache?

Hello, I get a severe stabbing headache that lasts for about 5 seconds and occurs once every few days. it usually occurs when I am warm - like when I first stop exercising, go into a hot room, or drink hot liquids. The pain is unbearable and I have stopped driving as a result. I have had these headaches for 6 years Thanks for any help, Josh

Hi,

Your symptoms might be of sinus headache due to chronic sinusitis or migraine for prolonged duration. I advise you:
1. To take Analgesics like Naproxen / paracetamol & Triptans
2. Relaxation techniques
3. Stretching exercises
4. Avoid triggers like excess heat, cold, light, and noise
5. Neck massage & yoga
6. Also plenty of fluid intake
7. Consult a neurologist for further evaluation

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
