Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..
I have gone through your query and can understand your concern...
As per your complain and presentation of symptoms it seems that your son has a viral
throat infection and
bad breath,
fever and loss of appetite are commonly seen in infants and toddlers suffering from viral infection and it is not always necessary that he might need a pump or has allergies..
The small moveable lump on his jawline is an
inflamed lymph node and it is also due to infection and you need not to worry about it as gradually when the infection will subside the swelling will also resolve..
As you are giving him antibiotics and anti-allergics[allergex] it is fine but in order to reduce fever
Acetaminophen in Paediatric doses has to be given to him every 6 to 8 hours to reduce fever and you should consult a Paediatrician and get advised for it..
Placing towels soaked in cool water [not excessively cold] over the forehead and sponging the body can also help in bringing the body temperature down..
Feed your child with more of cool liquids , milkshakes can help in soothing the throat as well as provide him nutrition..
Give him ample of rest..
Hopefully he will recover in a week but continuous monitoring and advise from a Paediatrician by follow ups for clinical evaluation is a must..
Hope this information helps..
Thanks and regards..
