Hai, normal(non diabetic) fasting blood sugar level is between 70 and 100 mg/dL.(no food intake for last eight hours).
For a diabetic patient normal fasting blood sugar ranges from 120 130 mg/dl.
Being a diabetic your father fasting blood sugar remains more than the recommended range. depends upon the insulin resistance( less sensitivity )and last food(glycemic index) intake fasting blood sugar may vary and show higher valve.
