What Is The Opinion On USG Showing Weakly Decidualized Gestational Sac,no Fetal Pole And Subchorionic Haemmorhage Surrounding The Sac?
Please interpret for my sister: Mean sac diameter: 1.9cm. 6 weeks.3 days Yolk Sac: 0.2cm Fetal HEart Rate: (-). Average Ultrasonic Age: 6 weeks. 3 days EDC: 09/17/2014 Cervix: long and closed Adnexae: both ovaries appear normal with a corpus luteum on the right Comments: Within an anteverted uterus is a weakly decidualized gestational sac containing a yolk sac with no fetal pole seen yet. There is moderate subchorionic hemorrhage seen surrounding the entire gestational sac. Impression: Intrauterine pregnancy, 6 weeks and 3 days by crown rump lenth, singleton Normal both ovaries with a corpus luteum on the right. Moderate subchorionic hemorrhage. Long and closed cervix. Suggest repeat scan 1-2 weeks after to assess pregnancy status
Main concerning factor in USG report is moderate subchorionic hemorrhage. It is important to know about vaginal bleeding because it plays important role in prognosis. Fetal outcome is dependent on size of the hematoma, maternal age and gestational age. At present she should wait for 2 weeks as suggested by your doctor and should go for repeat scan. She shouldn't be so worried.Subchorionic hematoma often regresses especially if it is small or moderate in size.
Hope i have answered your query. Get well soon.
