what is the other name for thyrowell as i am taking with my thyroxin @ home in india is it available in australia if so what is its name? i am on thyroxin for 15 years recently i been to my endocrinologist in india he added thyrowell with eltroxin i am short of them now in australia i dont know what is the other name of that pl thanku

Hi Ramanvgadi,
Thyrowell is the brand name of the drug Levothyroxine sodium which your physician has prescribed you for making up the decreased function of your thyroid gland, this is termed as Hypothyroidism. It is a miniscule tablet that is taken orally early in the morning at time of breakfast and taking at approximately same hour is important for this medicine.
Thyroxine is certainly available in Australia but is a prescription drug.
It is available under the brand names;--Eutroxsig and Oroxine.
