What Is The Permanent Solution For Osteoporosis, Fractured Legs While Also Suffering From Diabetes And High BP?
Dear Dr. My mother 62 yrs aged suffering with diabetes, High BP, weak nervous system imfarct in brain right limb weakness for last 2 yrs, osteoporosis (multiple fracture occur twice within this year while unbalance & with self weight) osteomylitis. now fractured in right leg only first ( April 2013) surrounding ankle then second (December 2014) femur neck. Remain all controlled but I need her bone get strong and fight against osteorosis. Can she get any solution in this age. Or what else precaution she has to take care?
when a person remain in bed or suffer infarct in brain, he or she may loose bone density quickly. Specially if She is also bed ridden. I would advice you to check her bone density through BMD test if you have not done it already. If She is not taking calcium and vitamin D, than start now. Alendronates are other group of medication which can help. Zolandronate can be given to her once in a dose after consultation with her physician.
