Hi, i am 38 year old young man working in IT. i am facing dust allergy. everytime i get exposed to dust, my nose starts to itch, at times bleed, starts the runny nose, sneezing and slowly it turns into wheezing and breathlessness. I am facing this problem throughout the year summer being the most comfortable season. This vicious cycle started since 2003. I am disappointed with ENT doctors who always put me on anti-biotics and suggested to take precaution. I tried Dr. Batra with situation getting worse with every dose of theirs. I am looking for permanent cure for this problem.
I am currently managing by using Metatop spray when the nose itching starts. Usually take once/twice in a week. It has prevented me to get to the stage where antibiotic medicine and seraflow become necessary. It has been working for last 1 year.
welcome to hcm,
the best yreatment is prevention..get a allergy test done and know to what you are allergic to so that you can prevent it in future..start using duanase nasal spray daily for one month..that will control your symptoms for atleast a year..dont worry u will definately be fine..take care
Avoiding or minimizing the contact of dust is the best treatment for dust allergy. Decongestants and antihistamines, are the 2 main types of allergy medications available. Antihistamines provide considerable relief from inflammation, itchiness, redness and watery eyes. Antihistamines are available in liquid as well as capsule form. Decongestants help to reduce nasal congestion. One can also use nasal sprays rather than oral decongestants.
