What Is The Possibility Of Reccurence Of Leukemia?

This year i had AML. I had a stem cell transplant and was told that there is no sign of leukaemia now. However, I am taking prednisone for GVHD. I still haves weekly blood tests. In my last two tests the immature granulocytes were .1 and .2 respectively. My neutrophils were high and on the last test by WBC was 14.6. Does this mean there is a possibility that my leukaemia is back?

Hi, dear
I have gone through your question. I can understand your concern.
You had acute myeloid leukemia. You have gone through stem cell transplantation. Your total count is high but its neutrophilic leukocytosis. It suggest some infection. So you should consult your doctor and take antibiotics accordingly if needed. Don't worry about leukemia.
Hope I have answered your question, if you have doubt then I will be happy to answer. Thanks for using health care magic. Wish you a very good health.
