What Is The Prognosis For Bursitis On The Hip?
I have been diagnosed with bursitis of the left hip Pain has occurred since November 2015. I have had 2 cortisone injections, multiple X rays, med packs, Aleve regularly, and now have begun to try cur cumin (herbal supplement). Curd cumin helps the pain a bit, but the problem has not gone away for months. I am seeing an orthopedic doctor as well, and have seen an orthopedic radiologist. What is the next step?

Hip bursitis can cause pain in the outer hip and thigh or the top of the buttock, depending upon the bursa involved.
It is usually treated with anti-inflammatory medication. I recommend regular check-ups at the orthopedist.
If the pain does not relieve painkillers, another option of treatment is surgery.
