What Is The Purpose Of Taking Diphenoxylate After Decreased Size Of Fetus And Absence Of Heartbeat?

I am 11 weeks pregnant, but at my 8 week check up, there was no heartbeat and now at 11 weeks, my numbers are decreasing and there is decreased size in the fetus, still with no heartbeat. My doctor gave me Diphenoxylate/Atropine to take. What will this do?

Hi,
Thanks for writing to us.
In my opinion you should not continue with this pregnancy because at 11 weeks your heart beat is not there.
Atropine is used to increase blood circulation and foetal growth.
Good luck.
Regards
Dr.Richa
