What Is The Reason For A Boy Not To Walk?

my 1.6 year old boy was not walking yet now .i consult a doctor ,he advice to do blood tests .the following are blood results
chloride serum- 108 , creatnine serum- .3 , potassium serum 4.9 , urea blood 12 , sodium serum 143 ,biocarbonate serum 23 , sgpt 22 , T4 7.0 , TSH 3rd generation 2.2 , haemoglobin 11.4 .is it any serious for kidney or what to do with this for walking and all .son is very active and respond for all only not walking just stand by holding .pls advice me

Thanks for posting your query. The reports that you have mentioned, are normal. No problems with the kidney. Most babies start walking around the first birthday, but the normal age range actually varies from as young as 9 months up to 18 months. If your child can sit straight without support and also handle things around, and if the baby can stand up with support, I think you can wait for a few more weeks. If not, your child needs to be evaluated for a condition called Duchenne muscular dystrophy. Information on whether the baby cried at birth and whether other developmental milestones were proper, would have been helpful.
