What Is The Reason For A Fever That Has Not Reduced Since 40 Days ?
hello sir my name is mayank mohan jha. my brother name is shashank mohan jha. he is 17 years old. he has sufferd by feaver from 40 days. i have consulted 2 doctors in my home disttic but his treatment has not effected . so sir kindly suggest me that wht can i do.

Your brother requires investigations for long time fever.
You go for,
1,Blood for TC,DC,Esr,Widal test.
2,routine urine check up,
3,Xray chest.
After all reports you consult physician and seek his advice.
If he is run down more better he should be admitted in the hospital.
Give plenty of liquids,light food and fresh fruits juices.

Long lasting fever should be investigated properly.Is there any evening rise of temperature ?
Is it accompanied by chills and rigors ?
Is there is any problem in urine like burning micturition , pain etc.
Is there any history of cough ?
I think he should go for the investigations like haemogram , ESR , CBC , widal test for typhoid , MP test , Montoux test ,X ray chest , complete urine examination , ultrasound etc.Consult a good physician who is MD.
