What Is The Reason For Ankle And Foot Pain Due To Typhoid With All Tests Clear?
G'day Doctor. My Wife is suffering from ankle and foot paid. She did have Typhoid 2 month back and still she has this paid which is making hard for her to walk. If she takes anti inflammatory tablets she is ok and if she stops she gets the pain again. We did X ray and blood test URIC ACID, A.S.L.O, R.A and C.R.P. All these have come as NEGATIVE and URIC ACID is or normal . We did consult an orthopedic surgeon who advised that the pain will subsidize over time, is this correct, should we do another test again to reconfirm. Your help is much appreciated. Thank you

Yes you can repeat them again if normal then Due to compression of this nerve root there can be pain associated with it.
I will advise you to do MRI spine
For these symptoms analgesic and neurotropic medication can be started.
Till time, avoid lifting weights, Sit with support to back. You can consult physiotherapist for help.
Physiotherapy like ultrasound and interferential therapy will give quick relief.
I will advise to check your vit B12 and vit D3 level.
