Hi,

I am a 51 year old woman and have lived a very healthy life and lifestyle. I recently having started having a burning tongue and at times feel as though I am sucking on aluminum foil! It makes me very nauseous and I have a constant headache. I had a full blood chemistry done and it is showing very high Cholesterol (LDL 200, HDL 64) my triglycerides are 121. I was stunned! My T4 levels are 5.4... oh and my glucose (after fasting) was 77. Help! the burning tongue is driving me crazy as well as these results!

thanks for your query,
i have gone through your question,
the burning tongue could be because of many reasons like anemia, candidal infection, lichen planus, fissured tongue...as the age advances chances of getting burning mouth syndrome...nothing to worry, consult oral physician to rule out all the above mentioned conditions...you can use topical anagesics like mucopain or anabel gel...
