What Is The Reason For Continued Chest Heaviness Despite Taking Synthroid?
ive a hx of GERD with barrett's (on prilosic bid) and, recently had my thyroid removed 2 moths ago (benign multi-nodular toxic goiter). I'm slowly titrating up to proper dosing on synthroid but find I continue to suffer with a heaviness on my chest on inspiration, tiredness and low basal temp- about 97 daily. not sure which of my ailments to attribute this to- and just started on 100 synthroid- w/o much hoped for relief.... could there be another unrelated cause for the chest heaviness? pituitary? other?
Hi. It is better to go for the tests of T3, T4 and TSH. This is help to titrate the dose of Synthroid. All symptoms can be attributed to thyroid removal.
