What Is The Reason For Feeling Like Tasting Perfume In The Mouth And Choking?

Periodically over the course of hte past week I have had sudden feelings of having a "perfume" taste in my mouth. It is the same sensation, feeling of when you spray air freshener or perfume and you feel as if you are "choking" on it. However, I have not sprayed anything, am not wearing perfume, do not smell any strong odors. This comes on all of a sudden and lasts about a minute. I am not taking any new medications, being treated for any chronic disease. Can you give me some insight into this?

What you are having is a olfactory hallucinations and the same occurs due to organic causes. The fact that it has been happening again and again suggest that you should get a CT scan done. Occasionally even a mass in brain or seizure can cause such symptoms. Better be cautious.
