hi i am a female in my 8th month of gestation.from last 1 week i am having a severe retroorbital pain only on the left side.it is very severe type of pain persisting for whole of the day with peaks from 30 min to 1hr and a constant dull aching pain persists in the intervening period, say 4 to 6 hrs and again i have this pain exaggerating after 4to 6 hrs and persisting for 1 hr or so.i have to take high dose of paracetamol to counter this pain but the effect lasts for a short duration and after which i again have this disabling type of pain ,the worst i have ever had. i have not had a sound sleep for the last 7 days.pls advise me.......
Most probably it is pain of migraine....so is getting relieved by analgesics ..but if not responding ....u should consult a physician for prescription of drugs like propanolol or SSRI flouxetine etc....simultaneously get evaluated for simulating diseases like pregnancy induced hypertension.....ophthmoscopic examination for hypertension induced retinopathy ...so opthalmologist consultation should be taken for eyesight also
