What Is The Reason For Tingling And Numbness In Lips And Limbs While Taking Biaxin For Bronchitis?

Been taking biaxin 500 x 2 per day for 2 days. Perscribed for bronchitis symptoms after P E in both lungs. Tonight I have a slight tingling and numbness of lips and hands and feet. Maybe more up arms and legs and a bit on face but cannot feel for sure because of slightly numb hands.

Hi, i have gone through your question and understand your concerns.
Biaxin (Clarithromycin) usually do not cause these type of symptoms, peri oral tingling is highly suggestive of hypocalcemia, i suggest you should have some lab tests like serum calcium,albumin and magnesium levels. I suggest you to take multivitamin medication also . If symptoms do not get resolved than i suggest you should visit your physician , you should than have complete examination and lab testing to rule out different causes of neuropathy like diabetes, B-6 deficiency etc.
