What Is The Reason For Tiny White Dots On The Right Side Of Mouth With White Coating On The Tongue ?

I have tiny white dots on the right side of my mouth (inside) , my tongue is covered with a white coating on the front and the back of my tongue is sore and red. It hurts to swallow and feels as if there is a lump in my throat. Saw Dr. on Monday and received antibiotic for swollen lymph nodes but spots were not there.

Hello and welcome.

Thanks for sharing your concern.

As per the given history it appears to be a candida (fungal) infection.

Is there associated redness and thick coating too?please get it examined and treated soon by your dentist.

Had it been any bacterial infection, it would have got cured by the antibiotic course taken by you.

Hope it helps.
Thanks.
Take care.
