What Is The Recovery Time After Drainage Of Perianal Abscess?
Hi,
I had a perianal abscess drained in the OR 5 days ago and still experience pain and discomfort. I still cannot sit down and the only thing that is comfortable for me is to lay down. What is the general recovery time and what should my expectations be? I'm really frustrated that I can't sit down and get back to work yet.
I had an abscess 5 years ago and a fistula formed and caused this new abscess. I was informed I would need surgery on the fistula once this abscess had healed. I'm a 28 year old male, 6 fee tall, and 150 lbs.
