What Is The Remedy For Clogged Ears Post Air Travel ?
My ears are very clogged from flying. They didn t seem to pop on the flight. It is uncomfortable and annoying. I ve taken sudafed for a few days and put warm compresses on my ears, but it s not helping. How long until my ears feel normal again?

The clogging of the ears during flight journey is because of the blockage of the Eustachian tube (the tube connecting nose and the ear). You need to do steam inhalation and use steroid nasal spray to relieve the block. Do not worry! It will relieve soon after you start this treatment. If it does not happen even after a week after taking the above medicines, then you should consult your doctor.

Clogged ears after flying usually occur due to congestion in the eustachian tube due to the pressure changes. Putting the decongestant drops in the nose and ears along with steroid drops will be helpful in relieving the symptoms.
In case the symptoms are persistent then an ENT evaluation is needed to rule out any infection.
