What Is The Remedy For Sulfamethoxazole Side Effects Like Sore Throat, Fever, Itchiness Etc?
My mother took some sulfamethoxazole-tmp ds that I had from when I had pneumonia, now she is having some side effects such as sore throat, fever, itchiness, needle pricking over her body, ears are hurting and her chest is hurting. What should I do I researched that these side effects could be very serious. Is there any way I can help? I ve managed to keep her very well hydrated, but I need to know what else I can do for her?
I cannot say in her particular case without an examination. But there was a reason to take the sulfa drug. If the person already had the side effects prior to taking the medicine, that would imply the side effects are from the original problem and not due to the medicine. Otherwise, you should come in to get a different medicine. It could be a serious allergy
