What Is The Right Dosage Of Rabivax Vaccine After Being Exposed To Dog S Saliva?
I think My daughter got exposed to saliva of a street dog . So to be on safer side can I give her rabivax vaccine. If yes how many doses does she need. And will this vaccine have harmful effects if given without a likely exposure ..... Like affect her harmones or something?

Dear mam, licks or exposure to saliva on intact skin as in your case,is class 1 exposure and carries slightest risk, no post exposure prophylaxis or vaccination is recommended in this case.Only cleansing with running soap water is enough.
For vaccination,it has to be started immediately within 24hrs of exposure.
The contents of vaccine has no effect on growth or development of child.
