What Is The Risk Factor Of Non Medication For Petit Mal Seizures?

My 14 year old daughter was diagnosed in her 5th grade year with petit mal seizures. She first started ethosuxomide which caused depression. She then changed to a generic of depakote. The manufacturer stopped making this type and they switched her to a generic equivilent of this. She started having seizures again. She is currently on the brand name depakote and her seizures seem to be under control. She, however was diagnosed with depression a few months ago and has had a lot of confusion. My question is what are the risk factors of nonmedication with petit mal seizures besides the obvious having them?

there can be recurrence of seizure by stopping meidcines and also it can lead to other kind of seizures like generalized tonic clonic seizures also. I not recommend you to stop medications of seizure.
For depression there are novel medicines available with least side effects. Please consult your neurlogist and psychiatrist
