I have all of the symptoms listed for Tetany except I can open my mouth. My question is this: I have some disc issues that are causing prominent posterior central disc extrusion projecting approx. 3.5 mm beyond vertebral body which indents the thecal sac and impinges upon the spinal cord at C4-5. c5-6 shows disc space narrowing with disc desiccation, diffuse disc bulge as well as diffuse osteophyte formation, findings cause central and neural canal stenosis, c6-7 shows disc space narrowing with disc desicaation as well as diffuse disc bulge causing mild central canal stenosis. My questions is: should I even be worried about Tetany because my symptoms are from the disc? I have not seen a neurosurgeon yet, is this something that I should insist on happening immediately, am I in danger? I have tingling from middle of tongue to end, around mouth down neck, both arms, numbness down back of arms and fingers, pain in shoulders and back, pain and tingling in hips and calves and numbness in toes.
