Hello

Welcome in H.C.M.

I have gone through your query regarding blocked ear in common cold.

I would like to tell you that cold usually effects ear by involving throat and than eustachian tube dysfunction. Eustachian tube dysfunction ultimately leads to negative pressure in middle ear and retraction of ear drum .this you will feel as clogged ear.

To manage it you should take-

1- Steam inhalation.

2- Anti histaminic.

3- Anti inflammatory.

4- Decongestants.

I hope this will help you.

Regards.
