What Is The Solution For Itching With Elevated SGPT And SGOT In Pregnant Woman?

I am 30 weeks pregnant now and having an itching problem. Did a LFT 3 times but it continuously increases in small amounts. Today report says SGPT 55.4, SGOT 54.5. How does it affect my baby and me? What would be the solution for elevated SGPT and SGOT?

hi itching in third trimester pregnancy raises suspicion of obstetric cholestasis and since your sgot and sgpt are also slightly elevated it goes more in its favour.get urine for bile salts and bile pigments tested.if present it confirms the diagnosis.start with tab udiliv twice a day and take tab cetirizine one daily at bedtime.start syrup lactulose 2 tsf at bedtime.keep a close watch on the fetal movements and you should go for elective induction at or 38 weeks even if everything s normal as obstetric cholestasis is known to cause sudden iufds.take care all the best.
