What Is The Swelling In The Lower Neck Area After Chest Infection?

My husband recently had a bad sinus and chest infection and was given Levofloxcin 750 mg bid, prednisone 20 mg bid, and fluticasone nasal spray. About a week later he developed swelling in his lower neck area and shoulders. He has no fever and minimal pain. I m worried because it has now been over 2 weeks and the swelling has not gone away.

This swelling is nothing but lymph nodes. These structure are like storage house for infection. So whenever there is pus or infection size of them increases. It will decrease in few weeks. You do not need to be worried about this.
