hello sir,my dad suffering from L4-L5, L5-S1 disc problem past 3 years. it started with heavy pain in right leg and loss of sensation but it gradually lessenned with medicines, physiotherapy,etc his age is 50 and past background is of heavy manual work. i do have little pain in my lower back it pains alternately in left and right side but my legs feel numbness wen i sit on legs. the front portion of thighs become heavy and seem hard to touch. also when touched some cyst like structures are felt but that is only for right leg. he can comfortably walk but have pain when he stands after bending. We 've reffered to may doctors they say its sciatica. some recommend operation and some dont. we are confused what actually to do. he has stopped doing any hard kind of work but can easily do daily chores drive bike.
