Hi, After reading your query there are three possibilities :
1. Sebaceous cyst: It is a collection of cheezy material in the sebacous gland.
2. Lipoma: It is a collection of fat at the local site undr the skin.
3. Dermoid cyst: It is benign proliferation of the different tissue under the skin.
You can consult ether a dermatologist or a surgeon to confirm any of these. Till that time do not try to unnecessarily touch, pinch or squeeze the area.
For the pain part you can take pain killer such as diclofenac or paracetamol as and when required.
Take care.
