I had a THR on Tuesday (spinal and sedation). Since I have a whooshing noise in my ears. It is quite loud. Do you think it related to the hip operation or coincidental. It is worse later in the day. What do ypu think it is it and what can/should I do?
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of noise in ear which is known as tinnitus, which is a condition associated with several reasons such as due to left over upper respiratory tract infection leading to eustachian tube dysfunction, stress, due to change in arterial pressure and cervical spondylosis. Need not to worry. Visit ENT specialist once and get it examined and start treatment after thorough examination. You should get otoscopic examination done. Take proper course of antibiotics such as Levofloxacin along with antiinflammatory medication such as Levocetrizine. You should maintain complete oral hygiene. Do warm saline gargles. Put otogesic ear drops.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
