Hello Doctor, I am affected by acne problem on my cheeks since 1 year . I have been using Tretin cream composition of Tretinoin 0.025% Sorbic acid ,butylated hydroxytoluene during night and clin-3 gel composition of Clindamycin phosphate, nicotinamide during morning which is prescribe by my doctor but it didn't work so what i will do ?
I can understand your concern for the pimples a in yourself. Acne or pimples are youth related problem and is not a disease per say. You have not mentioned your sex and marital status.
You can apply a cream contains Clindamycin gel 1% and adapalene for topical application form. For clindamycin there is no harm in using it but adapalene can cause irritation if not used under dermatological supervision. It contains topical antibiotic gel and oral antibiotic and do not cause any side effects.
If I were your dermatologist then for dark pigmentation I would have suggested you to use azelaic acid cream or Kojic acid cream or glycolic acid cream or licorice extract or arbutine creams at night time in guidance of dermatologist.
Take a proper guidance and follow up with a good dermatologist so that all the problem of acne can be dealt best for future time.
Take care
