What Is The Treatment For An Ovarian Cancer?

my sister has ovarian cancer shee has had 8 blasts of chemo but now is getting 18 more blasts one a week they can not get any fluid out of her stomach at all and she now has to have a blood transfusion she really wants to see christmas do you think she will

I can understand your tension.Main treatment principles of ovarian cancer is surgical removal of the tumor and chemotherapy. From your description I can understand that she underwent 8cycles of multidrug chemotherapy and now having maintenance chemotherapy weekly. Ovarian cancer is mostly respond well with chemotherapy. But the response depends on stage of the disease which is found from pathological examination of surgical specimen. Multiple drugs area available as options.It will be possible to specifically answer your queries if you describe details about your sisters disease and treamtent course.
